World Heritage Week

Department of Archeology and Museums is celebrating the Heritage Week from 19 November to 25 November 2015. It is organizing guided tours for children to various heritage sites including Qutub Shahi Tombs, Phanigiri, Bhongir Fort, and Kolanupaka. Along with the site seeing, the department is also organizing photographic exhibitions at District Archeological Museums. Special lectures are also being organized in connection with World Heritage Week Celebrations from 19th to 25th November, 2015.

19-11-2015 Guided Tours for school children at Qutub Shahi Tombs in collaboration with Agha Khan Trust for Culture, Hyderabad and Guided Tour at District Archaeological Museum, Panagal to give them exposure on conservation work and the need to preserve our heritage for posterity
20-11-2015 Lecture on "Conservation of Monuments: Challenges and Mile Stones" by Sri K.K.Muhammed, Project Archaeological Director, Aga Khan Trust for Culture, Hyderabad on 20th November, 2015 at 11.00 AM. Library Hall, Department of Archaeology and Museums, Gunfoundry, Hyderabad.
21-11-2015 Guided tour for school children at the conservation site of Buddhist Stupa, Phanigiri, Nalgonda District along with photo exhibition.
